The top is slightly raised, with a highly figured Walnut stump in a book and butt match. A reeded frame visually extends into the leg. The segmented reed motif was first conceived by the celebrated Art Deco designer Armond-Albert Rateau. That reference to nature also includes a textured brass shell in white gilt. The Gracie is a versatile table - finished on all four sides - with an inclination to float. Superb in any application with a lamp, allowing the reeds to create decorative shadows.
