This is an x-form, reinterpreted as a cocktail table, and hand forged with startling authenticity. The Cicéron works with full size and larger sofas. It mixes with modern furniture, evoking a bit of creative tension. The symmetric x-form, representing equality, dates to antiquity. Here, the base comes from one of America's few boutique blacksmiths. Every inch and curve is hand pounded, with telltale cupping, an irregular flourish in the scrolls, and a wax finish producing a natural black with silver flashing.
